Who we are
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
In general, users are not able to upload images or other media files to this website. However, if you do upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Similar to many other websites, our website utilizes a standard technology called “cookies”. Cookies are small data files stored on your browser. A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. There are two types of cookies: session and persistent cookies. Session cookies expire when you close your browser, and persistent cookies stay on your browser until deleted, to provide you with a more personalized experience on the website. We may use both session and persistent cookies.
Example of persistent cookies: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Our website may also utilize server logs to collect information about how our site is used.
Information gathered through cookies and server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our site, and the websites visited just before and just after our own, as well as your IP address.
IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer.
Cookies may also be used by third-party tracking services, such as Google Analytics.
At any time, you may prevent the setting of cookies by the website, by using a corresponding setting of your internet browser and may thus permanently deny the setting of cookies. Furthermore, already set cookies may be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all popular Internet browsers.
However, if you deactivate the setting of cookies in your Internet browser, not all functions of the Narcissistic Abuse Support Platform may be entirely usable.
